It was getting late, curfew looming over one's head like a dark shadow, though in Lorccan's case a more scary image would be that of his father. Tighe O'Brien wasn't an abusive man but he was a stern disciplinarian. When his children misbehaved they knew quite sharply such behavior wasn't approved of. Lorccan felt the sting of his father's hand a few times, especially when he let his grades slack off too much. Now, Siobhan kept on his case to ensure his grades don't slip, or at last she did in past years. Lorccan didn't know whether she will be so diligent this year, given she was now a Lighthouse Keeper.
Pushing the door to his dorm open, Lorccan hoped he would find Zot already here, but not yet asleep. He had promised his sister he will apologize to the twitchy fellow but he had not expected the boy would be so difficult to find. Then there was making sure he accidentally 'forgot' about that committee meeting. Like he had any interest in planning dances? Most of time he skipped the dances anyway. He would only show up if the theme sounded interesting or the music good. Most times he used the time of a dance as a chance be able to do more interesting stuff with less chance a teacher spotting him being where he shouldn't be. Lorccan wondered how hard it would be to get to the Lighthouse. It was on its own little outcrop of rocks but it wasn't all that far away, other than the fact the shore facing the Lighthouse was all high rocky cliffs. A broom would be the easiest and quickest way, now whether he can get into the storage shed where the brooms were kept. Well he will have to look into that later, too late tonight to go sneaking about.
"Zot you in here?" He asked, just in case the other boy was hiding or something.

Siobhan wrote the note and made sure she sent it magically under his dorm door for Lorccan to find. Lorccan, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have embarrassed you in front of our friends. I love you. Please forgive me. Siobhan She made sure she was no where around when he found it.

Finding no sign of Zot in their shared room, Lorccan plopped down on his bed. He barely was settled when he heard a rustling by the door and sat up. Somebody had slipped a note underneath the door. Curious he got up and walked over, fishing it the rest of the way past the door and saw it was addressed to him. Opening it up he immediately recognized the hand writing. His sister. He glanced at it and snorted. Too chicken to apologize to his face apparently. He crumpled it up and tossed it into the trash.
Pulling open his door he peered down the corridor, seeing a few other boys moving about as they headed to their own rooms but he saw no sign of Siobhan. His sister was braver than this and its not like he wouldn't have forgiven her if she just said she was sorry to him face to face, but to send him a note? It was insulting, it made him think she didn't think he was worth the trouble. Well, she will get a piece of his mind when breakfast came.
Stepping back into his room he closed the door. How he hated being here. Nothing this year is going right.
