Elizabeta kept a sharp look out for the wizards she was hoping to see today. Unfortunately she arrived a bit too late to corner Walker for a talk but figured she could always catch him later, right now he seemed to be enjoying his talk with Arwen. Elizabeta wanted to have a talk with her on a different matter at some point but not necessarily today.
Only a few days left before the pledge trials take place and she had a few people in mind to snag. It was a surprise to have Lorccan volunteer to pledge and on first instinct she was going to brush him off till she realized how useful he really could be. The boy's sister was a Lighthouse Keeper and the one who was kidnapped, he was also the sort of student most people didn't think much of, overshadowed by his very talented sister. At the very least he'll make a good lackey but Elizabeta had a suspicion he had hidden talents as yet to be revealed.
Taking a bite of her chicken breast deli sandwich she let her ice blue eyes roam over the students in line to get their lunch. Finally she spotted who she was looking for. Waiting till he finished getting his food and started scanning the area for an empty table, Elizabeta raised her hand to catch his attention.
"Damon, come, sit here with me if you will," Elizabeta called out.
Damon looks over to where he had heard his name being called. He carefully weaved his way through the tables and fellow students all the while looking relaxed but slightly tense. "Bonjour, Elizabeta, how are you dis afternoon?" Damon asked as he sat down at the table that Elizabeta is sitting at. He has a sandwitch even though his face clearly shows that he was hoping for something else for lunch. But he pulls out a container of cayenne pepper and starts to dress the mayo that is on it with the pepper. He then takes an experimental bite and his eyes light up. "Mmmm, much better." He said.
"Hoping for a little more spice for your lunch?" Elizabeta inquired, amused. "We do have spicy food time to time, I certainly enjoy it myself. Middle Eastern food is quite spicy as well as East Indian. I have to say I enjoy a good curry. Cajun food is a whole different style of spicy but we are rather far from the bayou here, unfortunately."
"I hope you are doing well and didn't end up shivering and freezing with that weird virus going around the school last week or so. Not enough garlic in their diets I bet." Elizabeta smirked, knowing there was so truth in the thought garlic was good to protect one from colds. Truth is she didn't do anything more or less to avoid getting sick than she usually did to avoid the standard colds and flu's that run rampant through the school each year. "I called you over to join me to ask if you have given thought to pledging to a Legacy? I know you are only here for one year but you would be amazed at what sort of life long connection and friendships you could form if you join the right Legacy."
“Oui, and I miss Cajun food, sorry just I grew up on the food.” Damen said after he had swallowed the bite of sandwitch that he had taken. “I never knew dat there were other spicy foods around.” He said. “I didn’t end up shivering and freezing with the weird virus that had gone around.” He said as he took a drink and sat the cup down. "I do miss Mardi Gras though." He said.
“I haven’t given much thought into pledging to a Legacy here but back home I had thought of joining one, but I don’t know if there is one like it here, and it would be nice to have friends.” He said. Damon is wearing what he would normally be wearing during the week back in New Orleans. He is wearing a bit darker clothing than what he has seen around. Most of his clothing consists of black, red, and a little bit of white.
His pants are black with red highlights in it and those are tucked into black combat boots. His shirt is white with the first few buttons undone with a red jacket over top and buttoned just half way as well. He doesn’t realize if the way that he is wearing his cloths might not be proper.
"The Legacy I am in I am sure you will find interesting," Elizabeta began. "I am a member of Novus Ordo Secolorum, affectionately called the Skulls. As far as I am concerned, it is the best Legacy to be in."
"We are a Legacy that focuses on mastering the mysterious, guiding the powerful, harnessing the rich, all for the benefit of Wizardkind," Elizabeta explained. It was all rather cryptic but what the Legacy did exactly was by design, kept vague and mysterious. "It is where you could make a true impact on the world, improve yourself and follow your own ambitions with the help of a loyal body of people from all walks of life."
"What would someone have to do if day are interested in joining da Skulls?" Damon asked as he is intrigued and maybe he can find a way to help his brother more and himself. He has had to hide his more darker natured books lately even more.
"If you agree to pledge there are a series of tasks you will need to perform to prove you're worthy. Nothing overly terrible and all within school rules," Elizabeta assured him. The tasks weren't all easy but better than wearing dorky beanies or singing bad opera wearing a towel like a diaper. "We do prefer maturity in our pledges so our tasks reflect that."
“That sounds better than most of the muggle places I have seen that has Legacies.” Damon said with a smile and he takes another bite of his lunch and he swallows it after a bit of chewing. “I wouldn’t mind pledge to the Skulls.” He said with a smile.
"You have made a very wise decision, Damon. Official pledge week starts on the third, this coming Tuesday to be exact. I will be expecting all pledges to Novus Ordo Secolorum to meet by the Legacy House immediately after dinner Monday evening, so I can go over the tasks you will be expected to do the following day."
Elizabeta was glad to have Damon agree to pledge. Something about the older boy gave her the impression he was full of potential and would make a good addition. Now, to convince the other people she had in mind to pledge.
"Now that official business is attended to, how are you enjoying Salem so far? It isn't often we have new students showing up for their Senior year."
"I am liking it so far just a little hard to get used to the weather though." Damon said. "I have all of my homework done so far, and I made the Quodpot Team.” He said with pride. "I haven't done much exploring of Salem though." He said.
